EPDP Funds

As an exempt state employee, you may be eligible for Exempt Professional Development funds for Office of Training & Development Programs.

The "EPDP Application for Human Resources Academy/SHRM or Ohio Certified Public Manager Program" is now part of the DAS/HRD Office of Training & Development Program Application.

DAS OFFICE OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SPONSORED PROGRAMS POLICY

 The employee must complete the "Application for Training' and submit as outlined in the instructions. Program applications are available on the Office of Training & Development Web site: http://das.ohio.gov/hrd/training/OTDforms and in the Blueprint for Lifelong Learning Catalog.*

EPDP will pay the education partner directly from the employee’s EPDP funds.

Assistance Amount

  • Full-time permanent employees may receive a maximum of:
    $3,000 per fiscal year ($1,500 per fiscal year for part-time permanent employees) for Tuition Reimbursement, HRU or OCPM.
  •  $1,500.00 per fiscal year ($750.00 per fiscal year for part-time permanent employees) for Professional Development Events Reimbursement or Blueprint for Lifelong Learning One-Day Courses, PASS and Project Management.



Application Process for EPDP Events for OCPM and HRA/SHRM ONLY:
  1. New enrollees to OCPM or HRA/SHRM: Complete and submit the Training & Development Application for Training including the Exempt Professional Development Program Agreement section on page 2.

  2. Return the Training & Development Application for Training. Send the original application forms only. **Do not fax the OTD form**.

  3. You will receive notice of acceptance within 7 – 10 business days.


  4. Send the completed application(s) to the:

  5. You will receive notice of acceptance of your EPDP application within 7 – 10 business days.
