WHAT WE DO
The
Drug-Free Workplace Services Program is charged with planning,
coordinating, and evaluating Ohio's Drug-Free Workplace Policy
including state and federal drug testing programs, and coordinating
compliance with all provisions of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace
Act of 1988 wherein compliance is required for receipt of federal
funds.
The
State drug testing program consists of preemployment drug
and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing. The federal
testing program involves preemployment drug, and drug and
alcohol reasonable suspicion, random, post-accident, return-to-duty,
and follow-up testing. The federal program covers state employees
having commercial drivers licenses in categories for which
drug testing is mandated under the Omnibus Transportation
Employees Testing Act of 1991.
