Employees take day off to volunteer
-- DAS Office of Employee Services, September 2004

Eight DAS employees took a day of leave to do administrative tasks and other chores.

These employees were part of more than 4,700 volunteers from 199 employers, including 33 state agencies, who fanned out throughout central Ohio to work at non-profit organizations for Community Care Day on Sept. 15.

DAS employees volunteered at the Central Ohio Diabetes Association where their duties included copying papers, planting flowers, counting inventory, organizing storage space and surveying clients.

Participants were Tim Collins, Equal Opportunity Division; Bill Hawkins, Office of Employee Services; Philip Murray, General Services Division; Ed Razler, Office of Information Technology’s Investment and Governance Division; Randy Smith, Gerri Stewart and Sally Wood, all of the Human Resources Division; and Julie Trackler, Director’s Office.
