STATE TO HOST SURPLUS PROPERTY AUCTION
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2003

(Columbus) -- The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) will host a state surplus property auction Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Heartland Behavioral Health Center, 3000 Erie Street South, Massillon.

Bidders will be permitted to inspect the items from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the day of the auction. Payment in full will also be required on auction day. Only cash payments will be accepted. Payment in full is required on the day of the sale. Items up for bid will include:

  • Collectible dishes
  • Dietary equipment
  • Front end loader
  • 1986 Jeep, 1988 Dodge Aries, 1989 Dodge van
  • Pianos
  • Welding supplies
  • Floor scrubbers
  • Walk-in coolers

Surplus property auctions permit the public to purchase quality goods from state agencies. The state has raised nearly $728 thousand so far this fiscal year through the sale of property it no longer needs.
