| Workers' Compensation Benefits
Eligibility If you are a state employee who has a work-related illness or injury, you may be eligible for workers' compensation benefits. The State of Ohio seeks to provide a safe working environment. If you have any questions about safety in the work place, please contact your agency workers' compensation representative. The Department of Administrative Services coordinates the workers' compensation claims for most state agencies. DAS uses the services of a third party administrator (TPA), to coordinate the claim activity with the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Benefits available to state employees are governed by the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code and various union contracts.
