Statewide MLK Oratorical Contest

The Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission, administratively supported by the Equal Opportunity Division of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, is hosting the 16th Annual Statewide MLK Oratorical Contest on April 17. The event is a culmination of regional competitions conducted across the state where students in grades Kindergarten through 12 present original essays about Dr. King's legacy. Winners of the statewide competition will present their speech at the State of Ohio's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration on January 14, 2016 in downtown Columbus. Both events are free and open to the public.
