The Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action (AA/EEO) Unit guides, directs, assists and monitors the administration of state of Ohio agency EEO programs by ensuring fair and equal treatment of all individuals in the processes which affect employment. This is accomplished by enforcing EEO-related federal/state laws and regulations, Gubernatorial Executive Orders and state employment policies and procedures related to civil rights, affirmative action and non-discrimination, pursuant to O.A.C. 123:1-49. The unit assists with EEO strategic plan development and implementation, EEO compliance reviews, training and complaint processes in the areas of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Counseling and other levels of support are also provided to agency employees and applicants for employment.
